The BBC Radio Hereford and Worcester Listeners Garden for the new Royal Worcester Hospital - A commercial project In 2002, we were approached by BBC H&W to provide plans, plants and expertise for a garden at the New Worcester Hospital. The brief was to produce a garden for patients, visitors and staff to sit in, but for which there is little or no maintenance. The garden was installed during 2003, using volunteers, who manually dug the borders, planted and mulched with gravel, under guidance and supervision from Madresfield Design Associates. Two years on, the garden is a huge success, with many visitors on a daily basis and the plants have thrived in the sheltered growing environment of the hospital walls.
